Improved cylinder head Improved efficiecy combustion chamber New carburetion New airbox New ignition mapping ... are all engineered to deliver super-tractable, deployable power that just keeps building all the way down the straight. The resulting five-titanium-valved, DOHC, counterbalanced beast spreads the power so thick that the YZ450F is ready to deal with everything from deep sand to hardpan at the drop of the kickstart. Add to that bottomless well of power the next leap forward in suspension technology. A new 48mm fork with all-new transfer control valves keeps the air and oil separate, and a new shock with damping circuitry straight from the factory race machines are part of the '05 package as well.
